Australian Visa Processing Timeline as of January 2009

Australian visa processing timeline January 2009Hi folks and let me take this opportunity to wish you a very happy new year! Hopefully 2009 will bring many opportunities including a new life down under.

Updated Information on skilled migration applications being processed in the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre (ASPC) and Brisbane Skilled Processing Centre (BSPC) can be found below

Adelaide

1. ASPC APPLICATION ALLOCATION INFORMATION

Applications lodged on or prior to the dates shown below are being allocated to case officers for further processing.

Onshore Student/Graduate GSM / Paper & E-lodged / Class DD and DE visas

Subclass 880, 881 and 882:
E-Lodged: All Allocated
Paper Lodged: All Allocated

Offshore GSM / Paper lodged / Class BN, BQ, BR, UX and UZ

Subclasses 134, 136, 137, 138, 139, 495 and 496:

Paper lodged: 07 August 2007

Please note that during August 2007 the ASPC received a large volume of applications due to legislative changes which commenced on 1 September 2007. Applications will continue to be allocated as usual however these allocation dates may appear static until all applications received during this period are allocated.

Offshore GSM / Paper & E-lodged / Class VE

Subclass: 175
E-lodged: 07 December 2007
Paper lodged: 15 October 2007

Subclass: 176
E-lodged: 11 December 2007
Paper lodged: 20 November 2007

GSM / Paper & E-Lodged / Class VF

Subclasses: 475, and 476
E-lodged: 07 January 2008
Paper lodged: 07 January 2008

Onshore GSM / Paper & E-Lodged / Class VB

Subclasses: 885, 886, and 887
E-lodged: Now processed by the BSPC. All cases processed in Adelaide have been allocated to case officers.
Paper lodged: 19 August 2008

GSM / Paper & E-Lodged / Class VC

Subclass 487

E-lodged: Now processed by the BSPC. All cases processed in Adelaide have been allocated to case officers.
Paper lodged: 26 August 2008

Subclass 485

E-lodged: 23 February 2008
Paper lodged: 28 February 2008

Brisbane

The BSPC is now processing the following eVisa Onshore General Skilled Migration applications:

• Subclass 885, 886 and 487 applications lodged on or after 1 December 2007
• Subclass 485 applications lodged on or after 1 March 2008
• Subclass 887 applications lodged on or after 1 July 2008

Applications lodged on or prior to the dates shown below are being allocated to case officers for further processing.

VB 885 (Occupations on the Critical Skills List Only)

Applications received up to 1 June 2008.

Applications for VB885 visas that do not have an occupation on the Critical Skills List are not being allocated at present.

VB886 (State and Territory Nominated Only)

Applications received up to 1 June 2008.

Applications for VB886 visas that are not sponsored by a State or Territory government are not being allocated at present.

VB 887

Applications received up to 15 August 2008

VC 485

Applications received up to 12 March 2008

VC 487

Applications received up to 15 September 2008
