Since we will be in Perth in March (on a holiday), I was wondering where
it is best to stay with regards to looking at Schools, Properties etc
and most importantly meeting expats who have now settled in Oz. We want
to select an area before we put our house up for sale in England.

Have a look at http://www.pomsinperth.com/ They have quite a bit of
info on their website (including a discussion board).

When we came out from the UK a few years ago we stayed in an
appartment in Scarborough, a coastal suburb to the north of the city,
for a couple of weeks. We found it was a good base for exploring north
of the river.
