Hi Lace,
There are a lot of franchised estate agents in most suburbs/areas. The
above are just 2 of.
Others are:
Ray White,
Conias,
Century 21
Remax
PRD
Professionals
Richardson & Wrench
The marketing of properties here is more aggressive than the UK. The
individual agent, as part of one of the above, actively promote
themselves first (pictures on signage, etc to gain listings and make
sales) and somewhere along the line they promote the property.
Like most things there are good agents and those with lease and credit
card payments due yesterday......
What are are you looking at, as Brisbane is geographically
laaaarrrrrggggge.
Cheers

Hi bill,
I know that it is a large area I am looking towards Redcliffe, Woodford,
Kilkoy or Deception Bay somewhere around there.
If you have any Estate Agents that would be great. I have looked at some
of the ones you mentioned.
Cheers

This is the best site by far for Real Estate. Click in Qld, follow the
prompts from there! It's linked to the Courier Mail. Saturday's Courier Mail
is the main vehicle for Real Estate ads in Brisbane!!

The areas you mentiuoned are extremely diverse in housing choices with
nearly everything from the cheap'n'simple to luxury waterfront homes.
As A Mate suggested try the Courier Mail site

I have been looking for my sister and I. She goes out first to Brisbane.
I have to say though copared to last year the housing market has risen
in Australia and around Brisbane which is where I want to live.

Hi Lace,
The market has come off the boil compared to what it has been. Some
vendors have been asking silly upfront prices and then accept
significantly reduced offers. It would seem we're back to a buyers
market.
Prices are always relative, if only I could sell high then immediately
buy low. :-)
I think that Brisbane will be steady in terms of prices due to
migration pressures from the southern states.
If you are looking at Woodford and Kilcoy, they are a fair commute from
Brisbane.
Cheers
