We're taking both ours and the eldest is 11.
He's in good health though (touch wood!) and having a nearly two year
old cat has kept him young I think!!!
I've spoken by PM to several people who took their cats and they all
said the flight and quarantine wasnt that traumatic for them and when
they collected their cats it was as if they'd never been away!

We have two cats, 5 and 14. The oldest one is healthy, but really does
not like having to go to catteries. The last time he was very stressed
and didn't eat for nearly 10 days!! Now we have friends either house sit
or pop in each day to feed them.
We really can't decide what to do with him. We are not looking at
moving until early 2006 so a lot could change, but I don't think I could
leave him with anyone else when we move.
My view is that he was around a long time before we decided to leave for
Oz, that we have to take him into account.
It's good to hear that age is not too much of an issue, just general
health. We will talk to our vet before we do anything.

I wouldnt worry too much, mine dont like boarding either and the old
one is very nasty when he goes to the vets, but it's only 30 days so
not forever.
I'm sure they'll be fine, and by all accounts they get lots of attention
from the quarantine staff!
