Have you had a look on Adelaidebrits yet??? Might help you decide.

We are going to Adelaide, cheaper housing, better weather, lower cost of
    living etc.

    Hope this helps a little.

Actually housing around Perth is cheaper than Adelaide, something I
discovered during my research and have to say was suprising as I though
SA was meant to be cheapest.

One of our reasons for switching from SA to WA were basically that there
is more than just one large City, in WA you have Perth and Bunbury as
the large cities, then places like Albany, Margaret River etc if you
    prefer somewhere smaller.

Originally we were going to Adelaide. But after changing our minds
several times we have decided on Perth.

Adelaide has a reputation as being somewhere people go to retire and
also for some weird murders but has plenty good about it that I will let
the pro-Adelaide people list for you. We would have headed for the
strip of coast between Glenelg and Brighton if we had gone there.

The main pitfall of Perth is that you are 4 hours from the other state
capitals but then how often are you going to make that trip?

I found (like Bridie) that property is cheaper than Adelaide, a few
searches of the jobs websites for accountancy had about 25% more jobs in
Perth, Perth gets a drier heat than the east coast which is more
bearable, has less wet days, Perth is only 8 hours time difference which
makes calls home at more sociable hours.

And Premiership football will be on late at night rather than in the
    small hours of the morning
