Default Hi from a new member

    Hi to All,

My name is Mick and this is my first post on Getting Down Under.

I am 44 years of age and work in IT as a Infrastructure Analyst. I am married with two young children aged 9 & 6.

Our current situation is that my wife was granted a PR 136 Skilled – Independent visa last year as she works as a childcare co-ordinator. Both my wife and I have travelled to Australia since and have vaildated our visas.

Our children's visas have not yet been validated and the Immigration Dept have allowed for their IED to be extended.

We have travelled to Sydney twice (once for a 3 week family holiday and once for a 2 day visa validation trip) and absolutely love it. This is our preferred destination, although I have recently been approached about working in Perth.

If I can be of any help for people who may have queries or questions on the visa process or Sydney I will be more than happy to offer my help. I'm sure there are many more knowledgable people already on this forum however you never know I may be able to offer some help.

A very boring first post but hope to be able to contribute and benefit from this forum.

    Kind Regards

    Mick

    Hi Micky & Mark,

I am not new here but just registered today thanks for your offer and mark you working hard for us appreciated.!!!
well, am planing to lodge my file may be next month i need help from all of you guys. like where to start and what step i have to take first can say from scratch level.
As i am an IT professional and got 1 year experience closely related to nominated occupation which is in CSL and 3+ years part time exp from MODL in same field. I will opt for skilled sponsored migrant subclass 176 visa as i can also choose 175.

so suggest me what to do wether i have to apply on 176 or 175?
secondly if i go for 176 then what will be my priority cat is that 2 or 3 as my profession lies in both CSL & MODL?and there is some confusion about areas like m gonna go for NSW (sydney)m i illigible or not??what specific/additional documents i have to gather before applying to ACS?and do i need to take ielts test before submiting to ACS???how long this process will take time?
I wud realy appreciate any valuable and professional input from you guys

    regards
    kajis
