Default Finding best schools in Brisbane area

Hi, we intend moving to Brisbane next year but have no real preference
as far as which suburb we live in.

I have lived in Wynnum and Morningside but I have friends in
    Forest Lakes.

We obviously want to put our children into good schools and that may
influence where we choose to live.

Can anyone tell me where I might find a list of the best performing
schools for ages 11 to 15 yr old children.

    Many thanks

There are no League Tables of schools in Queensland - not official ones
    anyway.
Nor are there any zoning requirements for school enrolment. No matter where
you live you can enrol children in any school. That said, it's sensible to
live near where your children will be schooled, for social and convenience
    reasons.
State Primary Schools are universally at least good - some very good. State
Secondary Schools are another matter - some are excellent, some OK, and some
    are lacking an 'Academic' Culture.
Personally I'd avoid Forest Lakes - it is new and fairly well planned - but
it's a long way from most work places, with inadequate public transport (and
not in the City of Brisbane). I would myself choose to live within the city
boundaries - Wynnum is changing into a pleasant seaside 'township' - with
much renovation going on; it also has excellent transport connections,
including CityTrain. There are several excellent private/Catholic schools
nearby - Primary and Secondary, single sex boys and girls, and
    co-educational.
