Default Sydney suburbs of the Inner West?

    Hello,

I am migrating to Sydney in 4 months together with my boyfriend. I will
have a job in Guildford in the west, whereas my boyfriend will most
likely work in the CBD. We we considered living somewhere in the middle
between the West and CBD, close to public transport so that everyone of
us can reach his work place within one hour. The rent should be < 400
Aus$ per week. We also would like to live near the water (does not have
to be a beach to swim, a harbour will do), so we thought the suburbs of
the Inner West - Concord, Canada Bay, Breakfast Point, Cabarita - would
    be a good choice.

I have read many posts in this forums but hardly found anything about
these suburbs. What do you think about them or do you have better ideas?

I am grateful for any advices!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi There,

This article from the SMH a couple of days ago gives you a bit more insight
    into that general area.
    http://www.smh.com.au/news/property/...871582911.html

Afraid I have no experience living there , although I do drive through those
areas occasionally and they do look rather decent , Concord has this
European cafe society feel to it on its main road , though I couldnt really
comment on its availabilty of apartments..as it seems most of that area is
    mainly houses.
Breakfast Point and Canada Bay have all in the previous years had new
apartment developments so you may well find what you are looking for in
    those areas.

Have a squiz on www.domain.com.au to see if theres anything there in those
    area's in your price range.

    Cheers and Good Luck.
