Default Landing in Melbourne at night

    Hi friends,

Me and My husband are planning for visa validation trip. When we checked
the flights available, all the flights land in Melbourne at night(around
    9PM to 10.PM).

Since we are traveling to Melbourne for the first time, we are bit
worried about the safety in landing at night(scared after listening to
    all these attack news).
Please can any one from Melbourne let us know is it safe to Land there
    at night.
which is the safest way to reach our hotel from airport.

Waiting for your inputs for booking the flight tickets.

    thanks in advance,
    sunpriya.

Melbourne airport is perfectly safe at night.
Go to designated taxi rank and take a taxi to your hotel.
Be sure to hae the exact street address and suburb.

    Happy landings!

It is quite safe to travel at night in Melbourne. You can travel to the
city and hotel by taxi. You can also go to the city ( and other places
where it stops) by airport shuttle bus. You can get down at the bus
terminal, which is nearest to your hotel and then take taxi from there
to your hotel. If you are travelling with your family, it would be
better to take a taxi from the airport.

There are two to three flights daily to Melbourne from KL, Singapore
and Bangkok Airways by Malaysian Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Thai
Airways respectively plus Qantas Airlines. You will be reaching
Melbourne at night because you will be reaching your stopover
destination (KL, SIngapore or Bangkok) from your country at a time
(early in the morning) when the immeidate connecting flight from there
starts in the morning to reach Melboure at night. If you are prepared
to stop for a couple of hours in your stopover city ( you can book a
day room inside the airport terminal) then you can opt for the night
flight to reach Melbourne early in the morning.

You may go through my "Settling gracefully in Australia" page on my
website, where you will find more information.

    Welcome to Melbourne

    @kaplamanu
were you asking about the series of "so called racial" attacks that
    took place in australia???
if that is what you are asking about then @jacob-
I think he is from one of the arab nations..no wonder he may not be
fully aware of the attacks 'coz no part of the world is as active as
the media in the asian sub continent is...

As soon as arriving to airport, who and why would attack? It sounds me
    some paranoid.
