Rules for using multiple entry ETA Hi,
My wife is a US citizen, myself and our sons are all Australian citizens. We live in the US currently. We are considering an extended visit to Australia in the middle part of 2012.
My wife has an ETA already granted (expires in January 2013) so that she may enter Australia and it is marked as being "multiple entry" (not sure if they all are). It also says she can only stay for 3 months at a time in Australia.
My question is if we decided to stay longer than 3 months in Australia, lets say 5 months for example, can my wife literally do an overnight trip to Auckland (or some other foreign city) before her first 3 months has expired and then re-enter Australia for another 3 months? Or is there some minimum time she needs to be out of Australia before she can re-enter?
Thanks!
