Perth -Rekkie - How plan it ?
Hi All
Visa application now in, looking to validate late ish next summer.
If we had rekkie for a month in Perth how manage it ? ie book a rental
for a month ? a hotel in city centre for a month or a week ? then stay
at places whilst travelling around ? use a tour company or DIY ?
Hmmmm..... a brainteaser....
Ideas appreciated..

Hi Dave,
For our reccie we booked a rental house through Poms in Perth for three
weeks. The house was south of Perth in Mandurah, but we spent alot of
time touring the suburbs and exploring as much of the area as we could
whilst still keeping it fun for the kids.
We also set up bank accounts whilst on our reccie with the Commonwealth
Bank and bought some land.
There are other companies that offer migrant help - many of which post
on here and they are able to give you as much/as little help as you
need. Many of them offer pick ups from the airport and you can pick
their brains as much as possible.
There are some good websites such as ozstays.com.au and
http://perth.stays.com.au/ if you want to arrange holiday accommodation
independantly.
Good luck - have a great trip.

We have just booked our Visa validation trip next Febraury. Initially we
had a quote for the lot from a travel agents who came up with the huge
ammount of over £6000...however after discussing it on here i realised
that the way to do it in book everything seperatley which we have done.
We have looked into so many flight prices you wouldn't believe ( hubby
is a tightarse) so we wanted a good deal. In the end we went with
Trailfinders who got us a great price for 2 adults and 2 kids going with
Emirates via Dubai. We have boooked a hotel in Sydney for 5 days and
then arranged our internal flights to Perth through Virgin Blue. We have
yet to book accomadation in Perth but have been looking at a rental
house ( there are loads about). Our return journey is again via Dubai
and the lovely people on the Middle East section have put me onto some
lovely hotels for us......
Shop about and get a few quotes before you do anything , you will
suprised on the price difference
Good luck X
